CSE extends trading hours from today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Colombo Stock Exchange has extended trading from 11am to 2.30pm from today.

CSE issuing a statement said the decision was reached consequent to the announcement by the government that curfew will be effective between 10pm and 4am daily in all districts with effect from today.

CSE said industry stakeholders have also forwarded requests to extend trading hours.

Accordingly, the pre-open session will be from 10.30am to 11am, Open Auction at 11am, Regular Trading will commence at 11am while the market will close at 2.30pm.

The Colombo Stock Exchange opened for trading after seven weeks on the 11th of May for two hours daily between 11am and 1pm.

Trading ordinarily takes place for five hours between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
