The Railway Department said ten trains will operate along the Main Railway Line, nine along the Coastal Line, five along the Kelaniweli Line, two along the Puttalam Route and one train from the Northern Line and will stop at Colombo Fort and Maradana.

The trains will once again leave for their destinations in the evening.

However, the Department noted other employees can travel in the remaining seats by using their office identifications.

Meanwhile the Railways General Manager Dilantha Fernando informed commuters to arrive at railway stations 30 minutes in advance.

He noted that while the public will not be allowed to travel via train to Colombo for now, these restrictions will be lifted in future as soon as health authorities grant approval.
