Over 150 Lankans who returned from overseas tested positive for COVID-19

(UTV | COVID-19) – Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, today (26) stated that over 150 individuals who returned from overseas have contracted the COVID-19.

Lieutenant General Silva, who heads the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 stressed that among those tested positive for the Virus are 90 Sri Lankans who returned from Kuwait.

He said that 18 Sri Lankans who returned from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also contracted the Virus.
