Twelve Naval Personnel tested negative to COVID-19 discharged

(UTV | COVID-19) – Another 12 Naval Personnel infected with the COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to Virus yesterday (16).

These Naval Personnel who were identified positive to the COVID-19, were admitted to hospitals for treatment. The group was under treatment as 7 persons in Homagama Hospital, 3 person in Mulleriyawa Hospital, and 2 persons in Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) Hospital. Since, these Naval Personnel found negative to COVID-19 on the reports of random Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Tests done under treatment, they were discharged yesterday.

As of now, including these 12 Naval Personnel, 189 Naval Personnel out of the total number of infected ones, have been discharged from hospitals after tested negative to COVID-19. Further, these discharged Naval Personnel were directed to keep under quarantine for another 14-days following the healthcare instructions.
