(UTV | COLOMBO) -Two high-ranking police officers have been summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The officials have been summoned for an ‘open evidence’ hearing, stated the Commission.
Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon, and Western Province South DIG S. W. Wickremasinghe have been summoned in this manner.
Accordingly, the two police officials arrived at the Commission at 9.30 am this morning (14).
The Presidential Commission of Inquiry had temporarily suspended operations due to the COVID-19 outbreak; however, the Commission resumed work from yesterday (13).
