Over 3,400 still under quarantine at Tri-forces-operated facilities

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another group of 435 individuals who underwent quarantine at facilities operated by the Tri-forces have returned home yesterday (13), says the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Accordingly, 127 from Punanai, 129 from Pampaimadu, 69 from Damminna, 12 from Pallekele and 98 from Boossa quarantine centres have completed the isolation procedure.

A total of 8,099 quarantined individuals have left Tri-forces-operated quarantine centres as of today.

The NOCPCO added that 3,444 persons are still in being quarantined at 40 Tri-forces-operated facilities located island-wide.

In the meantime, 350 more individuals stranded in the Maldives are repatriated today  (14), the NOCPCO said further.

They will be taken to quarantine centres managed by Sri Lanka Army, upon their arrival.
