CSE to resume trading on Monday the 11th

The Colombo Stock Exchange has decided to resume trading on Monday the 11th of May.

Issuing a media release the CSE stated the decision to resume trading was reached in line with the government’s declaration that both public and private sector entities in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam, should re-commence work from Monday.

Accordingly the CSE will be open for trading from 11.00 a.m. and close at 1.00 p.m.

The CSE will resume trading on Monday, after a lapse of several weeks owing to curfew imposed with the aim of containing the spread of COVID-19 in the island.

Trading hours will be as follows:

Pre-open session – from 10.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.

Open Auction – at 11.00 a.m.

Regular Trading – will commence after the Open Auction at 11.00 a.m.

Market close – at 1.00 p.m.
