Locally manufactured milk powder prices increased

(UTV | COVID-19) – The Consumer Affairs Authority has granted approval to increase the prices of local milk powder to meet the prices of imported milk powder.

Approval was granted following a request by local milk powder manufacturers via the Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly the Authority in a letter to local milk powder manufacturers stated that price revisions will come into effect from the 28th of March.

The price of a 400 gram packet has accordingly been increased from Rs.345 to Rs.380, while a 1 kilogram packet of milk powder has been increased from Rs.860 to Rs.945.
