New “Goosebumps” TV series planned

(UTV | Colombo) – A live-action TV series based on R.L. Stine’s bestselling “Goosebumps” books is in the works at Scholastic Entertainment, Original Film and Sony Pictures TV.

“Goosebumps” is one of the best-selling book series of all time, with more than 350 million English-language books in print, plus international editions in thirty-two languages.

The previous live-action anthology series was rated #1 for five consecutive seasons in the 1990s. It contained stories about children finding themselves in creepy and unusual situations, typically involving supernatural elements. The franchise also spawned two films in 2015 & 2018.

The new series will be executive produced by Iole Lucchese, Caitlin Friedman, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty.
