Spider-Man 3, Spider-Verse 2 and more re-dated

(UTV | Colombo) – Along with Disney and Paramount, Sony Pictures is also shaking up its release schedule today with three major projects undergoing release date shifts following their pushing of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” from October 2020 to June 25th 2021 earlier this week.

Today, they’ve delayed the third Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” solo film from July 16th 2021 to November 5th 2021, the film will now take over the old slot Sam Raimi’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” had until today when it was pushed to March 2022.

Sony has also delayed their “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” sequel by six months from April 8th 2022 to October 7th 2022 – the film taking a date previously occupied by an untitled Marvel Studios film.

That’s not all though as another Tom Holland-starrer, the film adaptation of the “Uncharted” video game series, has been moved up from October 8th 2021 to July 16th 2021. That project had only just begun filming before production was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
