“Crysis” remastered officially announced

(UTV | Colombo) -Video game developer Crytek has officially announced that a remastered version of the original iconic game “Crysis” will be launched sometime soon on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One.

The story is set on islands near the coast of the eastern Philippines where an ancient alien-built structure has been discovered buried inside a mountain.

The single-player campaign has the player assume the role of U.S. Army Delta Force soldier Jake ‘Nomad’ Dunn who is armed with a nanosuit and various futuristic weapons and equipment. The player fights both North Korean and extraterrestrial enemies in various environments on and around the island.

Developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, the original critically acclaimed first-person shooter launched in 2007 on PC and remains to this day one of the most technically demanding games ever made – leading to the famous phrase from PC fanboys every time a new graphics card or CPU is released: “But can it run Crysis?”.
