Police to reward officers engaged in COVID-19 duty

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickremeratne has instructed all Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Provinces to grant a reward to Police Officials on active duty to combat COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.

The Police Media Unit said all Police ranks from Chief Inspector (CI) and below engaged in COVID-19 eradication programs from 11 March to present will be granted the reward.

The Police Officials are to be granted a reward of Rs 5000 in honour of their selflessness, bravery and commitment.
