Pharmacies to be kept open daily

(UTV | COLOMBO) – All pharmacies across the country, except high risk areas, are to remain open daily.

The Prime Minister’s Office said the decision was drawn by the Presidential Task Force on Essential Services.

Thereby, pharmacies across the island, except high risk areas, are to remain open daily from 09.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.

Pharmacies in high risk areas, which includes Colombo, will be able to take orders over the phone or online and deliver.

The Presidential Task Force on Essential Services believes this will enable the smooth supply of medicines to the public, despite the islandwide Police curfew being in effect due to the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
