(UTV | COLOMBO) – An alternate version of Black Widow’s death scene in “Avengers: Endgame” has come online, one that changes quite a bit from the version that ended up in the theatrical cut.
Seems in Black Widow’s original death scene, she and Hawkeye are on Vormir battling Thanos and his army. Natasha, closer to the cliff, ends up brutally taking multiple blaster shots before crawling and saving Clint one last time before jumping off the cliff when she sees the Mad Titan approaching in the distance.
The Russo Brothers opted to use a less action and more emotional-driven scene with just Natasha and Clint and her making the sacrifice of her life on Vormir so Clint could obtain the Soul Stone.
Writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have previously revealed they wanted Hawkeye to be the one to die in “Avengers: Endgame,” but McFeely says a ‘number of women on the crew’ told them “Don’t rob her of this”.
Scarlett Johansson’s character will live again though in the upcoming “Black Widow” film due in cinemas in November.
