Sri Lanka expands COVID-19 testing

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Testing for COVID-19 will be expanded to determine if there are more COVID-19 patients in the general population, the Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe stated.

He stated that currently the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests are being carried out in many hospitals across the island to identify COVID-19 infections. The availability of Rapid Test Kits will facilitate the expansion of testing.
