CSE to remain closed

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo Stock Exchange will remain closed today as well.

The CSE in a statement said following a request by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and taking into consideration the steps taken by the Government to minimize public interactions in curbing the spread of COVID-19 the request to extend the holiday to the private sector, except for maintaining specified essential services and in order to ensure the safety of all market participants, the CSE was advised to close the market for Trading today.

Accordingly, today will be considered a market holiday.
