(UTV|COLOMBO) – Election monitoring body the Campaign for a Free and Fair Election or CaFFE says it is the responsibility of party leaders to ensure the conduct of a lawful election.
CaFFE in a statement said taking into account incidents reported at the 2019 Presidential Election, special attention must be directed to threats posed via media and social media.
The statement added CaFFE will closely monitor the electoral period adding that independent observers will be deployed across the country.
