Another Easter Sunday attack victim dies

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Easter Sunday carnage has claimed yet another life with one of the victims who was injured in the explosion succumbing to her injuries at the Ragama Hospital.

The latest death comes nine and a half after months after the bomb attacks which shocked the country.

The victim identified as Neerine Florid is a 26 year old unmarried girl from Jaffna and died at the Ragama Hospital on Thursday.

She was injured in the bomb attack at the St. Anthony’s Church Kochchikade, Caritas Sri Lanka SEDEC, the official facebook of the social service arm of the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka said.

“She closed her eyes forever by making our eyes open for justice. May the Good Lord grant her the joy of martyrdom and be with her family members to bear the pain that they undergo for 9 months,” the post said.

According to a spokesman for Caritas Sri Lanka SEDEC, she was working in Colombo and had gone to attend the Easter Sunday service at Kochchikade on April 21 last year.
