Hotel employee with high fever hospitalised

(UTV |COLOMBO) – A 26-year-old employee of a tourist hotel in Pelana, Weligama suffering from fever was transferred to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital (KTH) yesterday evening after he was first admitted to the Matara General Hospital.

The youth, a resident of Batawala, Weligama, was treated at the Special Clinical Ward No. 36 of the KTH. His blood samples have been sent to the Medical Research Institute of the Colombo National Hospital. An 18-year-old Chinese girl was also treated at the same ward after she was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday.
