(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa claims the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna-led alliance will secure a two-thirds majority power in Parliament, following the conduct of the upcoming General Election.
Speaking to media in Puttalam, MP Rajapaksa said any individual who agrees with the policies of the SLPP will be given nominations to contest the election.
Parliamentarian Rajapaksa also claimed that the present administration aims to uplift the living standards of all citizens to ensure they live in dignity adding therefore a number of housing projects have been launched across the country.
The MP charged the previous government of pushing the public into debt under the promise of constructing houses and villages.
He stressed President Gotabaya Rajapaksa issued strict directives to Ministers, State Ministers and Members of Parliament to reduce the people’s cost of living and to increase the quality of life.
MP Rajapaksa claimed an era where over Rs.3 billion of the public’s funds had been spent on advertisements, posters and billboards in order to create an image has come to an end.
The MP said the real issues will be recognized and resolved.
