“Govt. incapable of solving burning issues” – MP Chaminda Wijesiri

(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Chaminda Wijesiri says the government has created a society where the public would stoop to robbing a grocery store to face the rising cost of living.

Speaking at a media briefing today the MP charged that the government that promised to ensure national security, of failing to address the increase in the price of vegetables.

MP Wijesiri said this government was elected on the basis of national security, with the promise to lift the fear amongst the people over security.

However he charged that the government is incapable of reducing the price of vegetables.

The MP noted that  this observation of the present government, should be understood by the 6.9 million people who voted for them.
