Sri Lankan killed in a bus crash in Abu Dhabi

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A partial list of the victims of a fatal bus crash in Abu Dhabi has been released, with one Sri Lankan confirmed among the dead.

According to reports five women and a man were killed in the accident.

One Sri Lankan, one Nepali, and a Pakistani have been identified while three persons have not been identified yet.

Meanwhile a majority of the 19 people injured in the accident are Nepalese, with several Lankans and Ugandan citizens among the injured.

Six people were killed and 19 others injured after a bus rammed into a lorry in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Abu Dhabi Police stated the crash reported on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street in the early hours of the day, was caused by recklessness and careless behaviour.
