(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Edward Gunasekara says the UNP will remain in the Opposition only until the General Election.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the island, MP Gunasekara said the UNP will claim a majority win at the General Election and will reclaim governance.

He added the lies of the present government will be made clear to the public, claiming that they will take a new campaigning path opposed to that followed during the Presidential Election.

The MP said the UNP will speak the truth to the people.

He stated the UNP will obtain more than 113 seats in Parliament.

MP Gunasekara also accused the government of engaging in wrongdoing during the almost two months they have remained in power.
