Innings win for Kokuvil Hindu

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Kokuvil Hindu College beat Jaffna Hindu College by an innings and 50 runs in their fixture of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 inter schools cricket tournament played at Kokuvil yesterday.

Jaffna Hindu: 46 in 33.3 overs (S. Dineshkumar 4/1, U. Nimaladas 3/15, S. Kajanan 2/5) and 83 in 45.1 overs (K. Komendran 26, S. Kajanan 6/32, U. Nimaladas 2/11)

Kokuvil Hindu: 179 in 71.1 overs (S. Dineshkumar 84, S. Janadanan 31, K. Komendran 4/25, N. Kajan 3/39, L. Sivaram 2/44

In Day One

S. Thomas’ Bandarawela led on first innings against Bandarawela Central College on day one at Pelawatte. Only 31 overs were bowled in the game between Vidyartha Kandy and Anuradhapura Central due to rain on day one at Gampola. Matches will be continued today.
