Nearly 21,000 families affected by inclement weather

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Disaster Management Center said eight districts including Kalutara, Matara, Gampaha, and Colombo have been affected.

About 80,000 persons from 20,815 families have been affected due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country, according to the latest update from the DMC.

In addition the Irrigation Department stated that the water levels of the Nilawala ,Kalu, Gin and Attanagalu Oya are continuing to rise.
