Rains to continue over Sri Lanka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Department of Meteorology today (17) forecasted that the showery condition over the island is expected to continue further.

Accordingly, showers or thundershowers may occur today at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central, and North-Western Provinces, while heavy falls above 100 millimetres are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Central Provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 this evening, the Meteorology Department stated, adding that showers may occur in Jaffna and Mannar Districts during the morning too.
