Maintain 60 kmph speed limit on Southern Expressway : RDA

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Road Development Authority has instructed drivers to maintain a maximum speed limit of 60 kmph while using the Southern Expressway due to heavy rains in the country.

These instructions were issued in the wake of a collision near the Kahathuduwa exit point of the Southern Expresswa involving six vehicles which left two persons injured yesterday (Sept 15).

Police said slippery roads were the reason the accident. The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Homagama hospital.
