‘Kanjipani Imran’ remanded for threatening IP

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Notorious drug kingpin Mohammad Najim Mohammad Imran alias ‘Kanjipani Imran’ has been ordered remanded until 20 September by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.

This was in connection with the threatening of an Inspector of Police (IP) over the phone.

‘Kanjipani Imran’ earlier filed an appeal against a separate sentence on him by the Colombo High Court.

The Colombo High Court had sentenced Imran to 6-years in prison over the possession and trafficking of 5.3 kilogrammes of cannabis.
