(UTV|COLOMBO) – Trucks transporting garbage to Aruwakkalu have been attacked again this morning despite being provided security, Police said.

One truck had sustained damages as a result of the attacks in Wanathawilluwa. Police added that an operation is underway to locate and apprehend the suspects behind this incident.

Garbage trucks have been repeatedly attacked after the government decided to dump waste at a sanitary landfill site in Aruwakkalu since this month.
