(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has faced a serious issue due to the high cost of transporting the garbage to the Puttalam Aruwakkalu Landfill site.
Speaking to media, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Solid Waste Management at the Colombo Municipal Councillor Mahendra de Silva said the CMC requested the relevant government officials to provide a solution as over Rs.3 million has been spent on garbage disposal per day.
