Two arrested with counterfeit Rs.5, 000 notes

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Two persons have been arrested with a stock of counterfeit 5,000 rupee notes in Kalutara amounting to 300,000 rupees.

According to the reports, the two suspects had initially forged notes amounting to 600,000 rupees.

The duo has handed out 5,000 rupee counterfeit notes worth 300,000 rupees across the island.

The Kalutara Crimes Division that conducted raids subsequently arrested the two individuals.
