Trains delayed on Kelani Valley line

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The train services on the Kelani Valley Railway Line will be delayed, according to the Railway Control Room (RCR).

Reportedly, trees had fallen across the rail tracks as a result of strong winds last night (07), which has hampered railway traffic.

The Railway Control Room says that work has already begun to repair the obstructed railway track.

Meanwhile, the Meteorology Department stated that the wind speed is likely to increase at times in the North, North Central, Western, North-Western and Central provinces and in the Trincomalee District.
