Wind speed to enhance over North today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Wind speed is likely to enhance over Northern, North-Central, and North-Western Provinces, and over Trincomalee District today (06) up to 50 – 60 kilometres per hour, the Department of Meteorology forecasted.

Meanwhile, showery condition is likely to enhance to some extent in South-Western parts of the island during next few days, particularly from tomorrow (07).

Accordingly, several spells of showers are expected to occur in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces, and in Mannar, Jaffna and Anuradhapura Districts, while fairly heavy falls about 50 millimetres are likely at some places in Western, Central, North-Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts.
