“The UNP can’t win alone” – Manusha Nanayakkara

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara says the United National Party will not be able to claim a win at the Presidential Election without the support of other political parties.

Speaking to media in Galle, the MP said the UNP can create a broad political force by forming an alliance.

The MP said the alliance will be a joint alliance that is being formed together with the UNP.

He noted the requirement of the alliance should be understood by all adding that an alliance is required in order to win future elections.

MP Nanayakkara stated the UNP can in no way win the Presidential Election alone, claiming a win can be ensured by rallying together as a group.

In order to widen the alliance, MP Nanayakkara said the consent of all political parties involved is required.
