Grade 5 Schol exam tomorrow

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Grade Five Scholarship Examination for 2019 to be held tomorrow, Sunday, with 339,369 school children aged 10-11 years sitting the test in 2,995 examination centres countrywide.

The Examination will be coordinated through 497 coordinating centres.

Examinations Department sources told UTV News that around 25,000 invigilators would be deployed for exam duties.

The examination, which consists of two test papers will commence at 9.30 a.m. Candidates will be given 45 minutes to answer the first test paper while one hour and 15 minutes will be given for the second test paper.

There will be a 30 minutes break between the two test papers.

Accordingly, the first paper which commences at 9.30 a.m will end at 10.15 a.m. The second paper will proceed from 10.45 a.m. until 12 noon.

“Candidates are advised by the Examinations Department to report at their respective examinations centres before 9 a.m. The index number should be fixed at the left hand side of candidate’s dress. The candidates are strongly advised to write their index numbers in the space provided on the top of pages 1 and 3. Either a pencil or a blue or black pen can be used for answering the examination,” Examination Department officials advised.

“Except for candidates, invigilators and police officers assigned for examination duties, no one, including parents, will be allowed to enter the examination centres.

Even during the 30 minute interval, parents will not be allowed to enter examinations centres,” these sources added.
