Several Muslim Parliamentarians accepts former Ministerial portfolios

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Several Muslim Parliamentarians who stepped down from their Ministerial portfolios have accepted former positions this evening (29).

Parliamentarians Rishad Bathiudeen, Rauff Hakeem, Ameer Ali, and Abdullah Maharoof were accordingly sworn-in to their previously held Ministerial portfolios before President Maithripala Sirisena.

Accordingly Rishad Bathiudeen was sworn-in as the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons and Co-operative Development, while Rauff Hakeem sworn-in as the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply, and Higher Education.

Ameer Ali was sworn-in as the State Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Rural Economic Affairs, while Abdullah Maharoof sworn-in as the Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping.
