Over 600,000 people affected by drought – DMC

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) on Saturday (27) stated that over 600,000 people have been affected by the drought in the country.

615,984 Individuals from over 173,000 families have been affected in several districts, the DMC stressed, adding that the Northern, North-Central, Central and North-Western Provinces are the most affected areas.
