‘Ali Roshan’ remanded

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo High Court on Thursday (25) ordered to remand Niraj Roshan alias ‘Ali Roshan’ and seven others till the verdict of the case filed over alleged illegal possession of elephants is delivered.

Roshan was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for engaging in the illegal elephant trade and were later released on bail.

He is charged with capturing elephant calves in an inhumane manner from forests and selling them for profit to high-profile individuals.
