Three ‘Awa’ members arrested over Manipay attack

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Three members of the ‘Awa’ group, who were involved in an attack on Police in Manipay, have been arrested.

Two suspects were arrested in Kopay while another had surrendered to the Manipay Police Station yesterday (22).

The suspects, aged between 18 and 20, were identified as locals in the area.

An individual was killed after Police opened fire at members of the ‘Awa’ group who attempted to attack Police Personnel at Manipay in Jaffna.
