Case against Chief of Defence Staff postponed

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The hearing of the case filed against Chief-of-Defence-Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne has been postponed to the 9th of October.

The order was issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake.

The Magistrate also ordered to suspend the travel ban imposed on Ravindra Wijegunaratne until the 9th of October.

The Admiral is facing charges over allegedly exerting influence on witnesses in the case over the disappearance of 11 youth in Colombo, between 2008 & 2009.
