“Public should know of Easter investigations” – Sarath Fonseka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Member of the Parliament Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks, Field Marshal Parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka says the public should be informed if any intelligence officer failed in executing duties over the Easter attacks.

Speaking to media the MP said evidence by President Maithripala Sirisena as the Minister of Defence will be vital to investigations.

The MP said the identity of intelligence officials who appear before the Select Committee will not be revealed.

While inviting the President to appear before the Committee, MP Sarath Fonseka said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Former Ministers of Law and Order will be summoned, claiming that some individuals who already appeared before the Committee will be summoned for a second time.
