Navy apprehends 2 persons with Kerala cannabis

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) in Puttalam apprehended 2 persons with Kerala cannabis, during a raid carried out at Kadigawa area in Rasnayakapura this morning (15).

Accordingly, Naval Personnel attached to the North-Western Naval Command with the Officers of PNB in Puttalam had apprehended these persons who were transporting 1.355 kilogramme of Kerala cannabis on a motor bike. The suspects are residents of Weerapokuna and Mirihanegama areas, aged-25 and 40.

The amount of Kerala cannabis, suspects and the motorbike were handed over for onward actions to Rasnayakapura Police by PNB in Puttalam.
