Former Defence Secretary, IGP further remanded [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Hemasiri Fernando and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara, have been remanded until 09 July.

Fernando and Jayasundara were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) while receiving treatments respectively at the National Hospital in Colombo and the Police Hospital in Narahenpita on Tuesday (02).

Both were given notice to appear before the CID yesterday to record statements over the Easter Sunday attacks.
