(UTV|COLOMBO) – During a special operation conducted in Pesalai area, Mannar on Tuesday (02), a group of Naval Personnel, with the assistance of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB,) arrested a person and found a hidden 29.8 kilograms haul of Kerala cannabis.
A group of Naval Personnel attached to the North-Central Naval Command, during a special operation conducted with the officials of the PNB in Mannar had recovered this hidden haul of cannabis and arrested the suspicious person while conducting further investigation into the incident.
The stock of cannabis which is believed to have arranged for sale was in 8 packages.
The suspect has been identified as a resident of Pesalai area, aged-40. Subsequently, the suspect along with cannabis was handed over to the Pesalai Police for onward investigation.
