Unbeaten Mahanama record third win

(UTV|COLOMBO) – St. Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa made over 400 runs for the second time in this season in the Singer Trophy Under 17 Division One Inter Schools Cricket tournament yesterday.

Unbeaten Mahanama College Colombo recorded their third win in the season beating Piliyandala Central College by 70 runs and St. Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa beat Wickramashila NS Giriulla by 249 runs.

Chamath Yasohara right hand opener of Joseph Vaz scored 140 runs in 97 deliveries with 19 boundaries and 4 sixes against Wickramashila NS Giriulla.

St. Benedict’s Kotahena beat De Mazenod Kandana by 28 runs and Nalanda Colombo beat Isipathana Colombo by 1 wicket.Sri Dharmaloka Kelaniya beat Maris Stella Negombo by 66 runs and St. Thomas Matara beat Rahula Matara by 113 runs. St. Sebastian’s Moratuwa beat St. Peter’s Bambalapitiya by 41 runs.
