“Minister Rishad never influenced me” – Army Commander reaffirms [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Wednesday (26) reaffirmed that a political influence was never exercised whereas the Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen only inquired about a person in custody.

The Army Commander made this remarks before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks on Wednesday (26).

The Army Commander added that it is common for a Politician to inquire about the operation, and the former Minister merely inquired about a person arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks.
