Probe against Police failure to prevent Easter Sunday terror attacks

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Attorney General (AG) Dappula De Livera has directed the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Senior DIG C. D. Wickramaratne to initiate criminal investigations against 9 high ranking Police Officers for allegedly failing to prevent or minimise Easter Sunday terror attacks.

Issuing a letter to the Acting IGP, the AG has requested that the recommendations should be referred to the National Police Commission (NPC) for suitable disciplinary action against the 9 Police Officers.
