Case against Aluthgamage to be filed at 2nd Special HC

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya has directed the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption to file a case against Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage and the Former Chairman of Sathosa Nalin Fernando before the second permanent High Court at Bar.

Charges against the duo pertain to the misuse of over Rs. 40 million in state funds for political purposes.

An ongoing case pertaining to these charges is presently being heard at the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court, however the Chief Justice granted the Bribery Commission approval to file a case at the 2nd Permanent High Court at Bar.
