Litre of 92-Octane petrol up by 3 rupees

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The price of a litre of 92-Octane petrol has been increased by 3 rupees based on the Cabinet-approved monthly fuel pricing formula.

Accordingly a litre of 92-octane petrol is currently being sold at 138 rupees.

However the Ministry of Finance has decided to maintain the prices of other fuel variants constant.

Meanwhile issuing a statement the Finance Ministry said the price of a crude oil barrel is indicating a gradual decrease adding therefore the benefit is expected to be passed down to the public.

Meanwhile, the Lanka India Oil Company has increased the price of a litre of 92-octane petrol by 7 rupees.

Although the prices of other fuel variants remain unchanged, a litre of 92-octane petrol will be sold at 147 rupees at Lanka IOC outlets island-wide from today.
