Navy arrests a suspect with heroin [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Naval Personnel arrested a person with heroin in his possession, at the gate of Galle Harbour on Sunday (09).

Accordingly, Naval Personnel deployed on security duty at the Galle Harbour had searched a suspicious person near the Harbour entrance and found 48 milligrams of heroin in his possession.

The arrested person has been identified as a resident of Kanampitiya, Galle, aged-36. The suspect along with heroin was handed over to the Galle Harbour Police for onward investigation.

Meanwhile, a group of Naval Personnel attached to the North-Central Naval Command in coordination with the Thalaimannar Police arrested a person with 40 milligrams of heroin, during a search carried out in Thalaimannar area on Saturday (08).
